    Company Unveils Specialty-Specific, Touch-Based EMR System for Rheumatologists

    , the creator of the Electronic Medical Assistant® (EMA™), a cloud-based, specialty-specific electronic medical record (EMR) system, will be debuting its ™ system at this year’s in Boston, Mass.

    EMA is the first of its kind for the rheumatology field and was developed by rheumatologists. Similar to Modernizing Medicine’s other offerings, EMA Rheumatology is available as a native iPad application and can be accessed via the Internet virtually anywhere at any time. The technology contains built-in, specialty-specific medical knowledge and automated ICD-10 and PQRS capabilities, in addition to legacy features like EMA’s Virtual Exam Room™, which helps to eliminate redundancies and automate communications.

    “Rheumatology is an incredibly detailed field with a unique knowledge base and workflow that distinguishes its physicians from internal medicine practitioners,”said Dr. Elana Oberstein, medical director of EMA Rheumatology at Modernizing Medicine.“We are thrilled to finally provide rheumatologists with an EMR system that is just as specialized as the field itself.”

    Dr. Oberstein will be at booth #726 to demo the system and showcase its features to attendees.
